The spring hip throw is a good throw that is easily executed, especially when the opponent is of the same weight class as you. This throw can be practiced from the standing locked position, where you and your opponent are facing each other. What you should do from this position is get your opponent's waist behind your hip.
First you must lock your arm with your opponent's by simply placing your hand behind the neck, and grab the forearm with a solid grip. With the same leg as the arm you locked their elbow with, step across to your opponent's front leg and turn, so your back is facing your opponent, while still holding onto their arms. What you do now is get their foot off the floor by kicking their front foot with the same foot that you just stepped with. Lift your leg up and just pull your opponent down over your hip.
This move needs to be done very smoothly and polished. If not it could be reversed, if your move has any hesitance. The spring hip throw needs to be practiced until you are totally confident in pulling this move off.
